Wedding speech generator

A wedding speech generator that doesn't sound generated.

Type a name into most speech generators and you get a template with your name in it. Type a memory into this one and you get a speech only you could give.

The problem with speech generators

Search for a wedding speech generator and you'll find the same machine wearing different outfits: pick a role, enter some names, choose "funny" or "heartfelt", and out comes a speech. It reads fine. It also reads exactly like the one it made for the last ten thousand people.

The room can tell. There's a flatness to template speeches — the jokes are about weddings in general, the compliments could apply to anyone, and the best man's toast sounds like a greetings card.

The one-question test

Before you use any speech generator, ask one question: does it want my stories, or just my details?

  • Details in, template out. Names, roles, a tone slider. The speech is written before you arrive — you're just filling in the blanks.
  • Stories in, speech out. The generator has nothing until you give it a memory. What comes back is built around what actually happened between you and the couple.

The second kind is rarer, because it's harder to build. It's also the only kind worth standing up and reading out.

How this generator works

  1. Share a memory. One is enough to start. The midnight petrol run. The Sunday whiteboard. The thing they did that told you everything.
  2. Get a free draft in 90 seconds. A complete, structured speech — opening, stories, thanks, toast — built from what you actually wrote. No card required.
  3. Unlock the full speech. Weave in up to five memories so the speech has an arc, not just an anecdote. £19 one-off, or £29 for unlimited speeches.
  4. Edit and regenerate. Change the tone, rewrite any line, add memories. Every version is saved, so nothing is ever lost.
  5. Print the cue cards. Emphasis markers and pause cues included — a great speech read badly is still a bad speech.

What a memory becomes

The difference between input and output is the whole product. You type the memory the way you'd tell it to a mate — rough, half-sentences, fine. The generator's job is to find the meaning inside it and give it a place in the speech.

A small, true memory outperforms a big, polished invention every time, because the room hears the truth in it. The couple recognises themselves. That's the moment a speech stops being a performance and starts being a gift.

"He never mentioned it again. Not once in eleven years. That's Tom — he just shows up, fixes it, and lets you keep your dignity. Sarah, you're marrying the best man I know. I'm just the one giving the speech."

Generate, edit, regenerate

The first draft is a starting point, not a verdict. If a line is too smooth for you, blunt it. If a story lands better shorter, cut it. You can regenerate as many times as you like, and every earlier version is kept — most people settle on their final speech in two or three passes.

And because the draft is free, you can judge the output before spending anything. If the free draft doesn't sound like something you'd say, don't buy the full version. That's the fairest test any generator can offer.

FAQs

Are wedding speech generators any good?

+

Most aren't — they take a template and swap in names, which is why generated speeches usually sound like every other speech. The test is simple: does it ask for your stories, or just your names? A generator built on your real memories produces something nobody else could give.

Is this wedding speech generator free?

+

The first draft is completely free — no card, no sign-up wall before you see it. If you want the full speech with up to five memories woven in, that's £19 one-off, or £29 for unlimited speeches.

Will it sound like a robot wrote it?

+

Not if the input is real. Generic output comes from generic input — a name and a role. When the generator starts from your actual memories (the Sunday routine, the first-date text, the thing only you noticed), the output is specific to you, and specific is what sounds human.

What roles does it cover?

+

Best man, maid of honour, father of the bride, father of the groom, mother of the bride, groom, bride, and sister of the bride. Each role has its own structure, obligations and tone — the generator adjusts for all of them.

What if I don't like what it generates?

+

Edit any line, change the tone, add up to four more memories and regenerate. Every previous version is saved, so you can experiment freely and restore an earlier draft whenever you like.
